What are thrust ball bearings?

wallpapers Industry 2020-05-25
Thrust ball bearings are a special type of rotating ball bearings designed to withstand only light to moderate axial loads. They usually consist of two raceways with possible grooves and a set of cage ball bearings. Unlike roller thrust bearings, thrust ball bearings can usually run at higher speeds, but require oil lubrication in higher speed applications.
There are two types of thrust ball bearings, one-way and two-way. As the name implies, unidirectional variables can handle axial loads at one time and position the shaft axially in one direction, while bidirectional variables can handle axial loads at once and position the shaft axially in both directions.
What are thrust ball bearings used for?
Thrust ball bearings are only suitable for parts that bear axial loads on one side and have a low speed, such as hooks, vertical water pumps, vertical centrifuges, jacks, and low-speed reducers. The components of the shaft ring, seat ring and rolling element bearing are separate and can be assembled and disassembled separately.

One-way thrust ball bearings can only bear the load in one direction. If they are loaded in both directions, you must choose two-way thrust ball bearings. Thrust ball bearings must have a minimum load or preload. When the shaft is vertical, the weight of the shaft usually exceeds the minimum load. At this time, due to the influence of the axial external load in the opposite direction, the applied load can be reduced.
