How is titanium silicide TiSi2 powder produced?

Recently, the world's largest investment management corporation, BlackRock, in a market research report said that currently, they prefer U.S. and Japanese equities to European equities because of the energy problem stemming from Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

"Russia's invasion of Ukraine caused terrible injuries, a surge in commodity prices, and food and energy security issues," BlackRock, "It is stifling the economic growth and fulling inflation driven by supply problems. Europe is most affected among those developed markets, as it is trying to wean itself off Russian energy."

The volatile international political situations will continue to affect the markets and prices of many commodities like the Titanium Disilicide, Titanium Disilicide Overview, Titanium Disilicide Applications, Titanium Disilicide Suppliers, Titanium Disilicide Price.

Overview of Titanium Disilicide

Titanium disilicide TiSi2 powder (CAS 12039-83-7) has a high melting point, high corrosion resistance, high oxidation resistance, good electrical conductivity, high temperature ductility and an intermediate phase in binary alloy systems.

How is titanium silicide TiSi2 powder produced?

Disilicides can be prepared by reacting titanium or hydride with silicon.

Ti + 2Si → TiSi2

Thermite can also be carried out by ignition of aluminium powder, sulphur, silicon dioxide and titanium dioxide or hexafluorotitanate, by electrolysis of hexafluorotitanate and titanium dioxide, or by tetrachloride reaction.

Another method is to react with titanium tetrachloride to produce silane, dichloroaniline or silicon.

TiCl4 + 2SiH4 → TiSi2 + 4HCl + 2H2

TiCl4 + 2SiH2Cl2 + 2H2 → TiSi2 + 8HCL

TiCl4 + 3Si → TiSi2 + SiCL4

Application of titanium disilicide

Titanium disilicide has broad application prospects in microelectronics, aerospace industry, marine and submarine manufacturing, medical treatment, jewelry manufacturing and other fields due to its low film resistivity, high melting point, and stable chemical properties. Titanium disilicide TiSi2 powder is used in microelectronics and semiconductors, aerospace high-temperature materials, coatings, ceramic materials, and in integrated circuit devices, titanium disilicide is widely used in metal oxide semiconductors (MOS), metal oxide semiconductor field effect transistors (MOSFET) and dynamic random access memory (DRAM) gates, source/drain, interconnects and ohmic contacts are being fabricated.

Titanium disilicide price

The price of titanium disilicide varies randomly with changes in production costs, transportation costs, international situations, exchange rates, and supply and demand in the titanium disilicide market. The latest poll by CSA for consumer finance company Cofidis shows the French are taking action to trim their budgets as inflation erodes household purchasing power.

According to Le Figaro, the poll shows that French people think they need to earn an average of 490 euros more a month in order to live a decent life. This is an increase of 23 euros compared to the purchasing power barometer published in September 2021. Amid inflation and international tensions, this average in the polls masks differences among households, with some social groups much more severely affected by the decline in purchasing power than others. Seventy-eight percent of single-parent households, 76 percent of 25-to 34-year-olds, and 72 percent of blue-collar workers said the international situation had had a negative impact on their personal finances, compared with 64 percent of all French people.

In response to rising prices, soaring energy, and food prices, in particular, the French government is preparing to launch a package of measures designed to increase the purchasing power, such as extending the energy price protection mechanism, the extension of the fuel discount measures, and more targeted alternative measures, will be distributed inflation-linked pension and social security benefits, check the "food" and so on.

Because of the soaring energy prices, the Titanium Disilicide, Titanium Disilicide Overview, Titanium Disilicide Applications, Titanium Disilicide Suppliers, Titanium Disilicide Price price is predicted to rise in the future.
